The Inter-Lakes Community Action Partnership (ICAP) provides a number of services, grants, and community resources for low-income families and senior citizens throughout the region including Hamlin County.

- 60’s Plus Dining: To serve the varied needs of seniors, the program includes two options: Congregate and home-delivered.
- Early Head Start: Children age 0-3 and pregnant mothers. Provides an educational plan for their young children. To give them every advantage in life.
- Budgeting Assistance & Protective and Representative Payee Services: Teach budgeting, controlling client’s checking accounts and paying their bills, money management for those that Social Security select that need financial training.
- Case Management: Help set up steps to accomplish goals and budgeting.
- ECIP: Energy Crisis Intervention Program, furnace repair and energy assistance programs.
- Emergency Crisis Services: helps prevent disconnects for utilities, provides gas vouchers, medication or shelter.
- Food Pantry: Inform clients of food pantries in our area.
- Garden Vouchers: Provide vouchers for seeds and plants to help provide fresh vegetables for our clients. Also provide them with information on freezing and canning if they would like.
- Homeless Programs: Help with deposits and or rent for a very short period. They must meet with us every two weeks to receive training on how to be financially stable and they must find and keep employment.
- Information and Referrals: When needed we will refer clients to other agencies for help. SSI, SSDI, Food Stamps, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, Veterans Affairs, etc.
- LIEAP: energy assistance program for those living in poverty.
- Medical Equipment: lend out walkers, toilet risers, canes, shower chairs or whatever we have available at the time.
- School Supplies Program: provide back packs and school supplies for a child to be able to start school and feel good about having new things. Families must qualify as low income.
