REPORT REQUEST

Persons looking for a copy of a police report, not a crash report, for an insurance claim can do one of the following.  

Stop by the Hamlin County Sheriff's Office during normal business from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM Central Time, Monday through Friday, closed on holidays. Officers are not always at the office; please call before stopping.

Mail a request for a police report for an insurance claim.  You will need an incident report number, the date of the incident, and your name on the request.

A payment of $5.00 is needed before a report can be released.

Those requesting a police report other than for an insurance claim would need to reference the Open Public Records.  If you are a defendant in a case, please contact your attorney or the Hamlin County State's Attorney to obtain a copy of the report.
